 Returning Students

Final Registration for Paine Intermediate will be TUESDAY, JULY 22 from 8:00 - 12:00 and 2:00 - 6:00Student information must be updated online before final registration can be completed.  If you need assistance updating your child's information, you may call the Parent Tech Line at 228-3006, or come to the school from 9:00 until 2:00 on June 18, June 25, July 9, or July 16.  We will gladly assist you in updating your child's information.  

For final registration on July 22, you:

  • Must bring the deed to your home or Bona Fide Lease showing the same name and address as the utility and power bills.  If you have a lease, it must have a beginning and ending date.  This is a new policy implemented by the Trussville Board of Education beginning in the 2007 school year for both returning and new students.
  • Verify your residence.  Bring a copy of your current ALABAMA POWER bill and one other utility bill, excluding cell phone bills.  These bills must be current without a "disconnect" notice and must be the lower portion of bill that shows name and service address.  Students who do not have these two utility bills will not be allowed to register.
  • Bring a copy of the current Alabama driver's license of the student's legal guardian.
  • Purchase an agenda book (recommended for all students)
  • Purchase a school t-shirt
  • Receive bus route information
  • Make a donation to your child's classroom teacher
  • Find out your child's teacher

REMEMBER:  2nd Party Residence Verifications must be handled by the Support Services Department at the Board Office (228-3031) before final registration .

 New Student Registration Wednesdays Beginning June 18

Welcome!  We are happy you are joining the Paine Intermediate School family.  We are proud of our beautiful school.  You will find that our teachers are dedicated, caring, and highly qualified, and that we have the best support staff around.  We are certain that you will enjoy being a part of our school family, and we invite you to visit and volunteer in the classrooms throughout the upcoming school year.  New students may enroll on Wednesdays from 9:00 until 2:00 starting June 18. 

 

In order to receive a registration packet and have your child assigned to a class roll, the Trussville City Board of Education requires that you provide the following documents.

 

1.                  Current ALABAMA immunization form with the two shots and either the varicella vaccine or proof of the illness.

2.                  Original, certified birth certificate with the state seal affixed.  We will make a copy.

3.                  Social Security card.  We will make a copy.

4.                  Proof of Residence including such items as a deed to a current residence in Trussville, Bona Fide Lease in the name of the parent or legal custodian and signed by the landlord and tenant.  Deed or Lease Required.  Two current utility bills (Cell phones are not acceptable utilities.) in the name of the parent or legal custodian at that address (Alabama Power bill required) or other items as the principal deems necessary.  The name and address on the utility bill must match the student’s parent’s name and address.  Students who do not have these two utility bills will not be allowed to register.  If you or your child lives in another household, both the parent of the student and owner of the second party residence must go to Support Services at Trussville Board of Education prior to enrolling the student.  We require the head of that household to complete a form available through the office, stating that your family is living in their home.  This form must be notarized.

5.                  Proof of custody or court appointed legal guardianship if appropriate (neither notarized statements nor “Temporary Delegation of Parental Rights” forms are acceptable).  We will copy only the part of the legal document that relates to school

6.                  Copy of current Alabama Driver’s License.

7.                  Withdrawal form and last report card from previous school including complete address of previous school

 

The registration packet requires completion of the following:

1.                  Paine Intermediate Registration Information Form (2 copies)

2.                 Official Request for Student Records Form

3.                 Residence Verification Form

4.                  Employment Survey

5.         Online Registration Summary - completed at Paine Intermediate during your new student enrollment process

 

Each student attending Paine Intermediate School is hand placed with a competent, caring educator.  We do not accept requests for a specific teacher due to the large number of students enrolled in our school.  However, you are welcome to submit in writing any information about your child that would guide us in making a class placement.  We will need this information when you turn in your registration packet.

 

We are glad to have you with us for the 2008 – 2009 school year and we want to assure you that we will do our best to help your child experience academic, social, and emotional growth.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child.  With your help and cooperation, we will have an excellent school year.
