Our Huskies on the Move Program is well on its way.  We are getting ready for our 2008 Fun Run.  Please encourage your child to run at least 2-3 times a week.  This will help him/her to increase cardiovascular endurance, and improve their health and quality of life at the same time.  The following are the winners from last year's run.  

2007 Fun Run

  We would like to thank all of the students and parents who came out and joined us in our 2nd Annual Fun Run.  We had a better turn out this year than last year!  All participants received a ribbon and 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place winners received trophies in all grade levels.  The winners are as follows:

  Huskies on the Move

We are well on our way to different cities throughout the state of Alabama.  Don't forget to allow your child to find interesting information about each city we travel to.  Your child can find information using a variety of tools, such as the computer, newspapers, books, etc.  The students can also work with their classmates which allows team work and interaction among friends.  We are all about Team Work here at Paine Intermediate.  Remember students, all classes can win the trophy if each of you brings in a different fact for each city.  If your class wins the trophy more than others you get to participate in a class party at the end of the school year. Let's find those facts.....don't forget that if there are 25 of you in class there must be 25 different facts for fact day!!!!    

           Thank you parents and teachers for helping your child with these facts; we greatly appreciate your support!!

Mercedes Marathon

                         Thank you to all who ran in the Mercedes Marathon in 2008! 

I want to give a special thanks to Mrs. Fran Box for running with our third graders; we enjoyed her company the morning of the race.  Thank you Mrs. Box!!!  We had many students, parents, and friends who came out to enjoy the day of fitness and fun.              

As soon as I receive the information for next years run I will put this on my website.  Thanks again and hope to see you next year!  Check out the pictures of some of our runners in the picture folder to the left!!!  You all did an awesome job!  Keep up the good work and keep on running

We had around 50 students tryout for the 2007-2008 juggling team.  All of our fifth graders worked so hard and they all did great during the week of tryouts.  It was extremely difficult to choose just 20 students for the team, but it had to be done.  The following students made this years juggling team: Quin Jackson, Jared Houser, Cayla Dillard, Billy Bell, Dylan McCormick, Carter Pharis, Ellyn Sartin, Jonathon Martin, Walker Chambers, Matthew Bryant, Alex Smith, Roosevelt Savage, Austin Brewster, Milan Patel, Tyler Fair, Will McMurry, Brandon Watson, Chris Morton, Tyler Hardin, and Jacob Settle.                       Congratulations boys and girls you all deserve it!!!!!!!!
