    Class Panoramic Picture:
Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather this summer for a panoramic picture. I am working with the high school staff to see if we can have the students gather at the high school sometime next year to have this picture made. If not, we will try to figure out a creative way to honor these students at HTMS with a special picture to be displayed with the other panoramic pictures. I hate that our 8th-grade students had to end their year in this manner. I am so incredibly proud of this class and their leadership throughout the year. I know they will go on to do great things at HTHS. They will forever hold a special place in my heart!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or give me a call.

  • Career Prep A Summer ACCESS Course Information

Information in regards to this course went live this morning. You can find all the pertinent information at the Curriculum and Scheduling website.

     Please Note:

This is a full course squeezed into a four week time period (June 8-25, 2020). This is recommended for highly motivated students who are taking band and a foreign language, neither of which can be taken for a semester at HTMS.

HTMS Counselors do our best to not pair Career Prep A with advanced electives such as Honors Choir, Pre-Engineering II, Art II, Theater II, etc., however, sometimes that is our only option in regards to meeting all of a student’s specific requests. We cannot tell you at this time what elective will pair with Career Prep A for your 8th-grade schedule.

Please pay attention to due dates, fees, zoom meetings, etc.

  • HTMS Closed

The Hewitt-Trussville Middle School building is closed to students and parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We realize many students may have items in their locker that they need to retrieve and we apologize that we cannot honor the requests to enter the building. We are working on a plan to get those items once the pandemic subsides and students can safely retrieve their personal belongings.

Beginning in August, all Trussville City Schools will dismiss early on Thursdays instead of Mondays.
