Substitute Teaching Application
Applications for substitute teaching will only be accepted from February to April 18, 2014.
Substitutes with references will be expected to hold one of the following:
· Current Alabama Teaching Certificate
· Current Out of State Teaching Certificate and Alabama Substitute License (which can be submitted by Trussville City Schools)
· Graduate from an Alabama teaching program with a Letter of Completion and an application pending with the Alabama Department of Education (an Alabama Substitute License may be needed, to be determined by Trussville City Schools)
· Individual with a successful background clearance (contact Trussville City Schools for more information) with a 4 year college degree and/or experience in a teaching related field with 3 recommendations. Alabama Substitute License will be required (which can be submitted by Trussville City Schools).

All paperwork must be completed and submitted in person to the Trussville City Schools finance office located at 113 North Chalkville Road, Trussville, AL 35173, between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that all TCS substitutes are expected to be willing to accept substitute assignments for all days of the week from Monday to Friday and for all schools from K to 12.
