TCS - The American Nursing Association (ANA) annually designates May 6-12 as National Nurses Week. Embedded in this period is National School Nurse Day, which fell on May 11 this year. The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) coordinates the celebration of National School Nurse Day - which honors the 95,000 school nurses across the United States. Trussville City Schools is fortunate to have school nurses on each campus - and even nursing assistants on some campuses. We celebrate and honor these medical professionals - leaders who bridge healthcare and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems allowing students and communities to stay safe while on TCS campuses.
