Magnolia's Mission
-
Magnolia's mission follows the mission of Trussville City Schools: To educate students using high standards in a safe, nurturing environment fostering academic and career competencies which prepare them to be productive citizens.
Magnolia Elementary was established in the fall of 2016, and officially opened its doors to students on October 12, 2016. Our school is led by Principal Dr. Phyllis Faust. Magnolia is one of three K-5 elementary schools in Trussville, and serves the Magnolia Trace neighborhood community.
The sense of community is evident as soon as you enter. We have three to four classes per grade level, and students attend other classes we call "specials" on a four-day rotation. Our "specials" include: Art, Music, Counseling, Library/Media Center, and STEM Lab. Students attend Physical Education classes daily. Teachers at Magnolia are highly-qualified, and many teachers hold advanced degrees. We also have National Board Certifed Teachers (NBCTs).
