In the January Update, Dr. Patrick Martin recognizes several groups including our five Board of Education Members; Melanie Dimler, AP Physics HTHS teacher, who was name the Presidential Award Winner in the area of Science for the state of Alabama; Madison Blank, Trussville City Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year; Lauren Deibert, Trussville City Schools Secondary Teacher of the Year; Marshall Walk, Trussville City Schools Elementary Bus Driver of the Year; and Larry Graham, Trussville City Schools Secondary Bus Driver of the Year. Administrative Reports highlighted the Career and Technical Academies at HTMS and HTHS along with the system's report card. Trussville City Schools is 1 of 11 systems out of 140 across the state to receive an A on their system and school report cards.

December 2024


In the December Update, Dr. Patrick Martin recognizes several groups including our five Teachers of the Year, HTMS Girls Bowling Team won the Metro Area, and Coach Sean Talsma named ALFCA 7A Assistant Coach of the Year. Jennifer Bruno and Charlotte Norris share about the 6-12 Fine Arts Department and the many opportunities for students.

November 2024


In the November Update, Dr. Patrick Martin recognizes several groups including Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight, 7th and 8th grade undefeated football teams, and two athletes who won the boys and girls middle school metro championship. The K-5 Fine Arts music programs are highlighted.

October 2024


In the October Update, Dr. Patrick Martin recognizes several groups including 35 Huskies who scored a perfect score in math on the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP); four high school National Merit Semifinalist; Principals during the National Principals Appreciation Month; Representative Danny Garrett, Senator Shea Shelnutt, and Senator Dan Roberts for their support of Trussville City Schools; and Jeff Mauldin, HT baseball coach, on his induction into the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Dr. Hamilton and Mrs. McGough shares academic achievements on state testing.
