About the 2022-2023 School Year Calendar

  • (TCS) - The 2022-2023 School Year Calendar was originally approved by the Trussville Board of Education on May 17, 2021.  It was amended at the February 28, 2022, Board of Education meeting to revise Spring Break dates and incorporate two Remote Learning Days.

    The calendar features a staggered start for students across K12 - with last names N-Z beginning school on August 10 and students whose last names begin with A-M beginning school on August 11.  Friday, August 12, 2022, will be the first day of school for all students. 

    The calendar also includes these highlights: 

    Sept. 6 (Labor Day)
    Oct. 10 (Fall Break)
    Nov. 11 (Veterans Day)
    Nov. 21-22 (Remote Learning Days)
    Nov. 23-25 (Thanksgiving) 
    Dec. 16-Jan 3 (Winter Break)
    Jan. 4 (1st day for students, 2nd semester)
    Jan. 16 (MLK., Jr. Holiday)
    Feb. 20 (Presidents Day)
    March 27-31 (Spring Break)
    May 23 (Graduation)
    May 24 (Last Day of School for All Students)
