Jennifer Bruno teaches Theatre Arts in the classroom and directs HTMS drama productions.

Mrs. Bruno received her undergraduate degree from the University of Montevallo and began her teaching career at Leeds Elementary.  She moved to Hewitt Elementary/Paine Primary for the next 14 years, at which time she earned a Master's Degree from Samford University.

After teaching elementary school for 17 years, Mrs. Bruno made a big jump to HTMS to teach another one of her passions---theatre.  She finds it rewarding to use singing, dancing, acting, and drama games to teach skills that students will need throughout the rest of their lives!

Performing has always been woven into Jennifer's life.  From working with Town & Gown Theatre (now Red Mountain Theatre Company) and the Levite Jewish Community Center and dancing her entire life to dancing/cheering/choreographing for two small professional teams as a young adult and directing/choreographing the Paine Players, there's never been a time in her life when she hasn't been involved in the arts.

Jennifer lives in Leeds with her daughter and husband, both of whom constantly help in the theatre and make it possible for her to put on shows!  She loves to read, travel, and tailgate on the Plains in the fall!
